New Horizons to Raffle a 2017 Ford Mustang Convertible and Expand Its Mission

Bonita Springs, FL—February 20, 2017—One supporter of New Horizons of Southwest Florida ( will soon drive away in a brand-new Ford Mustang Convertible!

New Horizons, whose mission is empowering local at-risk children and teens through tutoring, mentoring and faith-building, is raffling the Mustang as an exciting way to raise visibility of its mission and attract a wider donor audience.  New Horizons currently serves 440 at-risk students in SW FL with a waiting list of 110.  Raising visibility and expanding its donor base will enable New Horizons to expand to serve more of the students on the waiting list.

Only 1500 tickets are available to the community for a $100 donation.  Entrants have a known and excitingly-high chance at winning.  The winner of the 2017 car raffle will drive away in a beautifully designed convertible valued at over $35,000 and features black leather seats (heated and cooled), rear spoiler, EcoBoost engine and a reverse sensor system.

The New Horizons car raffle will be held on April 17, 2017 at the Fort Myers Miracle baseball game vs. the Florida Fire Frogs.  The game starts at 6:35pm at Hammond Stadium.  Each raffle ticket holder can receive a free ticket to the baseball game courtesy of Joe and Doreen Eng.  Entrants need not be present to win.  If the winner is present, they will be recognized during the game.  The winner is responsible for all applicable taxes, licenses, & fees.  Tickets are available in several ways: online at, at any of New Horizons’ seven locations, at its administrative offices (25300 Bernwood Dr., Bonita Springs), or by calling 239-948-4146.  The car will also be on display and tickets offered at Miracle Baseball games on April 9 and 17.

New Horizons programs include the Super Kids Club and Super Teens Clubs, both of which offer after -school and summer tutoring and mentoring at no cost to the students’ families.  This fundraiser has the potential of raising $150,000 for New Horizons.  "We hope the community take part in this fun opportunity and empower tomorrow’s generation today,” Executive Director Debra Haley said.  “This is our way of inviting the community to offer hope and opportunity to those who desperately need it."

New Horizons purchased the car at dealer price from New Horizon’s sponsor and strong supporter, Coconut Point Ford. "We are proud to support New Horizons," said Bobby Collins, general sales manager of Coconut Point Ford.  “A car fundraiser is a great way to integrate our specialty and their important mission,” he said.
