Volunteers Ask: When do the children have time to exercise or play outside?
All of our students come from schools that have a variety of opportunities for students to participate in fun, non-academic activities. Each day students attend either a music, art or physical education class. In addition, most schools give students a brief recess before or after lunch. After school, our students unwind on the bus ride to the club where they chat with friends and relax.
Because our time at the club is relatively short, we believe our students benefit most by helping them with their homework and academic needs. Parents would have a very difficult time making their children come the club if they truly did not want to attend. You can rest assured that after students leave the clubs, they play at home knowing that they are prepared for the next school day.
