New Horizons of SWFL has many volunteer opportunities:

  • Tutoring and mentoring K-12 students one or more days a week, Monday – Thursday, during the school year. You may tutor based on your preferred age range or during the time that suits you best:

    • Super Kids (K-5 elementary aged students) 3:30-5pm

    • Super Teens (6-8 middle school students) 4-6pm

    • Super Teens (9-12 high school students) 2-4pm

  • Serving on one of our committees to help with fundraising, marketing, finance, planned giving and more

  • Teaching a craft or skill to our 4th and 5th grade girls or boys on a Friday afternoon

  • Sharing a career opportunity with the teens

We hope you will join our dedicated team of volunteers who are changing the lives of students in our community!

"As a volunteer for the past 8 years I can say that it doesn't get any better than tutoring students who are a joy to be with. Seeing their smiling faces and the progress they make from the beginning of the school year to the end is well worth it!... There is also joy in seeing former students grow and become mature men and women, who strive for excellence and make a difference in their family, community and world."
